Syftet \u00e4r att unders\u00f6ka m\u00f6jligheterna till en ny cirkul\u00e4r, svensk livsmedelskedja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Projektet utf\u00f6rs i samverkan mellan flera universitet, f\u00f6retag (d\u00e4ribland VegMe) och en myndighet. Genom olika tekniker och processer avser man h\u00f6ja proteinhalten i svenska makroalger, allts\u00e5 t\u00e5ng, och i f\u00f6rl\u00e4ngningen ingredienser gjorda av alger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Makroalger inneh\u00e5ller 10\u201345 % protein i torkad form och \u00e4r rikt p\u00e5 livsn\u00f6dv\u00e4ndiga aminosyror \u2013 det vill s\u00e4ga proteinets byggstenar. Dessutom inneh\u00e5ller makroalger umamismakande \u00e4mnen, mineraler och vitaminer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Makroalgernas smaklighet testas bland annat i n\u00e5gra av VegMes produkter.
